Maida V. Farrar

Bio

Maida Farrar adds over a decade of family law experience to the team at Cianci Law, PC. Possessing an in-depth, multi-faceted knowledge of family law issues, Maida brings a unique approach to family law litigation and works diligently to assist her clients in making informed decisions so they can move forward in their lives.

In addition to representing family law litigants, Maida also satisfies the background and training requirements to be appointed Minor’s Counsel at Creative Family Solutions. No stranger to litigation, Maida is formidable in the courtroom; however, she approaches her cases with an eye toward settlement whenever possible. Maida also serves as appellate counsel in family law matters, assisting litigants and other attorneys in navigating family law appeals.

Maida also has an extensive background in mediation, is certified as a divorce coach, and teaches units related to the Unauthorized Practice of Law to other professionals in the family law community who may not be attorneys. Maida knows every client’s family is unique, and she’s always committed to offering her clients a wide array of options. Maida is dedicated to helping clients approach their family law matters in a way that suits them best, whether through litigation, mediation, settlement, or some other creative combination, depending on her client.

An east coast transplant who grew up in Miami, Florida, Maida attended college at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. California came calling shortly after finishing her bachelor’s degree, and Maida never looked back. While attending McGeorge School of Law, Maida served on the Governing Board of the Community Legal Services program. Upon passing the bar exam, she worked exclusively in the domestic violence arena before opening her family law practice.

Maida wound down her private practice to join the team at Cianci Law, PC. We’re thrilled to have her abundance of legal expertise and knowledge to our team!
